Medieval market town beautifully situated in the picturesque Vale of Clwyd and Clwydian range. In St Peters Square there lies a bewitching blend of architectural design. Architecture exemplified by
St. Peters Church, dating from 1284, which has exquisite 18th Century wrought-iron gates, lofty 18th Century spire and a finely engraved interior. Nearby are the Georgian Castle Hotel and the 19th Century Town Hall.

Also of interest is the partially refurbished castle, now a hotel set in landscaped gardens, and the Maen Huail Stone associated with the legendary King Arthur.

In Park Road, the craft centre enables the public to view craftsmen at work as well as their finished products. The 1820ft Foel Fennilli, with its hill-fort, and the 1824ft Moel Fomau in the Clwyduan range, provide memorable views of the area.

Tourist Information: Ruthin Craft Centre, Park Road.
