Aberystwyth is the chief town in central Wales and the busiest coastal town. It has something for everyone, whether for relaxing, sightseeing or shopping. It also has a reputation for its large gay scene.

Aberystwyth takes great pride in Welsh heritage, housing the celebrated University of Wales and The National Library of Wales. Cardigan Bay is best viewed from The Great Aberystwyth Camera Obscura, situated on Constitution Hill and reached by the Electric Cliff Railway.

Further a field is Devil's Bridge Falls and Gorge, a picturesque journey by way of the local Rheidol Narrow Gauge Railway.
