Splendidly located village, set amongst forest and mountains, where the Conwy Lledr and Llugwy Rivers merge. Very convenient for Gwydr Forest Park. Visit the fine iron bridge over the Conwy (built in 1815 by Thomas Telford), the Pont-y-Pair bridge (15th Century) and the dizzying heights of Miners Bridge. Also see the beautiful swallow, Conwy and Point-y-Pair Falls. There are a multitude of outdoor activities available, including rock climbing, gorge walking and fishing. Also try the motor Museum with its ever-changing exhibition and Conwy Railway Museum at the station, where trains leave for the beautiful Lledr Valley. Nearby is the Ugly House/Ty Hyll (a hotch potch of a cottage) and Ty Mawr where William Morgan prepared the first Welsh Bible in the 16th Century. On a hill top stands the 12th Century Castle of Dolwyddelan, which has a well preserved keep providing scenic views. Tourist
